The Bible - God’s Words to Us
The Bible is God’s story “His Story”, history. It is written over 1,500 years, beginning in 1,400 - 1,500 BC to 95 AD , by 40 different human authors, over 3 continents, (Asia, Europe, and Africa) covering 4,000 years of history. The Bible is one continuous story. There is not one contradiction. It is written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
There are thousands of artifacts found that align with biblical places, people, kingdoms, and events.
The Dead Sea Scrolls (250 BC - AD 70) were found in clay jars in a cave near Qumran by a boy playing. They include portions of every book in the Old Testament except the book of Esther. Additional scrolls include non-biblical Jewish writings, such as a War Scroll, Community Rule, and Thanksgiving hymns.
Other major/famous finds are Tel Dan Stele- mentions House of David
Mesha Stele (Moabite Stone) - mentions Israel and Omri
Ketef Hinnom Silver Scrolls contain the antient priestly blessings from the book of Numbers
Cyrus Cylinders which aligns with the Persian policy of the returning exiles to Israel.
Artifacts and geological digs can prove the events that occur in the Bible. The true test of your belief is your faith.
Do you believe because of the physical facts or do you believe because in your heart you know there is a God who created the trees, the animals, newborn babies.
The bible accurate, reliable, trustworthy, and true.
Some don’t believe because they say the Bible was written by men. Humans who are fallable. This is very true. Humans left to their own abilities could never write such a book. A book without error, inconsistences, and without human bias. Humans did not write these 66 books alone. They were inspired by God.
