God and Satan

The relationship between God and the angels have affected the human race. God has a relationship among himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. “God is love” (I John 4:16). God has always existed and is happy with who he is. Love has a desire to love others, to share, and to serve. God loves so he creates the angels, the animals, mankind. He shares his love with us. God does not need any of his creation to love him, but he wants his creation to love him. God created the angels to love. God’s word tells us there are “myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands” of angels (Heb 12:22 & Rev 5: 10-12). In the Greek, a myriads equal tens of thousands 10,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 = 100 million. That’s a lot of angels.

The highest-ranking angel was Lucifer. Lucifer is described as beautiful, powerful, intelligent, in high position, blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you (Ezekiel 28:15). What was the wickedness found in Lucifer? Pride! Pride is an emotional state of believing highly of yourself. Lucifer forgot he was a created being and started believing he was better than God. Lucifer said in his heart, I will ascend to heaven: I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the upmost high. I will make myself like the Highest. (Isaiah 14:1-12). Lucifer wanted to be God and over throw God. God being all powerful, more powerful than Lucifer, told Lucifer to leave heaven and those who want to follow you must leave too. A third of the angels (now called demons) chose to leave God and follow Lucifer (now called Satan). God does not want anything he created to be with him, if that is what they want. God gave the angels free will to choose to love him or to leave him. God does not force anything he created to love him.

Satan left heaven with a third of the angels. Where did they go? Earth! The bible says in Genesis 1:1-31 God saw all that he made, and it was very good. It’s believed Satan was kicked out of heaven to the earth after God rested on the seventh day. The earth would not be very good, if Satan had been there.
